Moon

When I was younger, the night sky would remind me of the vastness of the universe and remind me of the creator God who made it. It would usually be a humbling experience.

After a drought of those thoughts, I regained some of that inspiration tonight. As I gazed upon the full moon I remembered a sermon I heard from Louie Giglio two or three years ago at the Indescribable tour with Chris Tomlin. It was about how the moon is just a ball of dirt, and without the shining of the sun it's really not that big of a deal. But it is in reflecting the sun's radiant beams that the moon gains significance and does what it was designed to do - to give light to us earthlings. Similarly, without the light of Christ in our lives, life is ultimately meaningless.

It was a humbling reminder for me personally as I have not really been the salt and light of this world and been kind of in a stagnant place spiritually...

Could this be the turning point?

It could be if you leverage it. The fact that you had this epiphany to begin with is a good first step. :)
