First day

I am really fortunate to have psych first because compared to most other rotations, there are a lot less responsibilities and scut work. All the doctors I am working with are very nice (so far) and I have yet to be assigned patients to be responsible for, which is indicative of a lot slower pace than some of my peers who have already had patients assigned two days ago.

The only key mistakes I've made today were:

a) In the morning I cut the wrong "tag" on a new tie. You know how ties come with both a tag (that you're supposed to take off) and a little slip where you put the thinner portion of the tie into (which you're supposed to keep intact). Well, I ended up cutting the latter thinking it was the former, resulting in me patching up the latter with some good old tape.

b) I left my clipboard with patient info in the lunch line... Fortunately I had the top sheet placed face down, so unless someone really tried to look through my files, no critical information was given away.

c) Wore dark navy pants that are more appropriate for winter, resulting in a sweaty walk back home.

Not bad for a first day though.

I'd be happy to stitch a piece of fabric on the back of your tie if needed. = )
David has several new ties too. It's exciting!
