Growing Rigidity

Yesterday I got really excited because my schedule for today was totally blocked out beautifully - take a morning exam, go to brunch with former residents, go to wt practice, then go out to dinner with classmates, then get haircut, do laundry, etc.

Well, you can imagine how man's plans don't always go as planned. The dinner got delayed by almost 2 hours and haircut places close at 6pm here. Those two variables that changed on me completely changed half of my schedule. I was frustrated by the alterations in plans.

Then I realized how scary it is for me to just stay single my whole life - I'll become more and more rigid in the way I do things (habits, routines, way of thinking, etc.). I think that's part of the many benefits of marriage - it forces you to become more flexible to accommodate the other person (and once kids come, that also completely throws off one's rigidity). Yup, so I'm shooting for sometime before I'm 30. Before 25 or 26 would be ideal, because knowing myself I have a tendency to get set in my ways (especially micromanagement/plans for the day/future).
